I’M MARIAnNA, THE FOUNDER OF JOU
From a young age, I was immersed in the world of fashion through my mother, who owns a successful shop in Brazil. I traveled with her to curate collections, attending buying trips both domestically and internationally, and experiencing the excitement of Brazilian Fashion Week.
I later pursued my passion by graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in California. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience working for a swimwear brand at Miami Swim Week and as a merchandiser for several California-based brands.
After graduating, I returned to Brazil and joined a prestigious high-end brand as a fashion designer, honing my skills in design and craftsmanship. For the past seven years, I have been based in Bali, focusing on fashion production and white-label manufacturing for other brands while also building my own brand from the ground up.
